“호림박물관 기획전 《금상첨화_비단 위에 더해진 봄꽃》에서 조선시대 자수 공예 유물과 함께 구성 된 작업.
전통 섬유 장식의 정서를, 입체적이고 감각적인 오브제로 확장.
✤ 목련 木蓮
Magnolia
목련은 단아하고 고귀한 아름다움을 지닌 봄의 형상이다.
피어나는 순간과 그 준비의 시간이 한 장면 안에 공존하며,
서로 미묘하게 다른 꽃의 얼굴은 겹겹의 표정처럼 층을 이룬다.
다른 작업보다 한층 더해진 빛의 요소를 위해 은빛으로 꽃순을 표현해
정적인 감성 속에서도 가장 우아하고 찬란한 기다림의 순간을 드러내고자 했다.
권대섭 작가님 입호 작품에 구성.

The magnolia represents a spring form of quiet elegance and nobility.
Within a single scene, the moment of blooming and the time of preparation coexist, while each flower bears a subtly different expression, forming layered faces.
To enhance the presence of light, the buds are rendered in silver, revealing the most graceful and radiant moment of waiting within a still and contemplative atmosphere.
Installed in a vessel by artist Kwon Dae Sup
